On Saturday, Oct. 17, the VLS Deans teamed up with Barrister’s Bookshop to host an in-person meet and greet event. The event took place on the back lawn of the VLS campus and marked the school’s first in-person event for the 2020-2021 school year. For safety reasons, the administration only permitted 50 people on the lawn at a time. Additionally, all attendees followed the recommended COVID-19 protocols and were previously cleared to be on campus after receiving a negative test result and signing a safety contract.
It was a quintessential fall afternoon in South Royalton: blue skies, light wind, and golden leaves. Student ambassadors from Dean Jefferson’s office served a delicious array of food, including salad, pizza, dessert, and drinks. Staff, faculty, and students safely mingled and enjoyed each other’s company outside the borders of their computer screen.
Representatives from Barrister’s tabled a booth with VLS merchandise and fun freebies. They also conducted a raffle drawing.
